Yu did not disclose the identity of the manufacturing partner but shared an image of a sedan branded as Luxeed on the Twitter-like platform Weibo. State-owned automaker Chery submitted a trademark application for the term “Luxceed” on July 14, according to enterprise data provider Qichacha. Anhui-based Chery had first unveiled its plans to create EVs with Huawei and retail them through the latter’s sales channels in September of last year.
