PlayStation 4 and 5 owners will get access to the vehicle in a future update to Gran Turismo 7, the latest title in the popular gaming series, according to official announcements. The road-legal race car boasts a striking balance between excitement and everyday comfort, and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 1.98 seconds and driving up to 630 kilometers (392 miles) on a single charge. More than 23,000 customers had placed their orders for the real life car with RMB 20,000 ($2,782) non-refundable deposits, Xiaomi president Lu Weibing told investors during an earnings call on May 27.
