Chinese game developer NetEase announced Monday that the mobile version of its martial arts game Where Winds Meet will launch989 ArchivesJan. 9, 2025. The mobile team has completed optimization and adaptation of gameplay content and is now in the final preparation stages, according to NetEase. Where Winds Meet integrates traditional Chinese culture and martial arts elements in an open-world setting during the late Southern Tang Dynasty. Players take on the role of a mysterious swordsman, exploring, solving puzzles, and battling in a vast martial arts world. The single-player mode offers 20 to 30 hours of main storyline gameplay, along with approximately 200 hours of free exploration content. The PC version began its public beta test last Friday, and pre-registrations across all platforms have exceeded 35 million, according to NetEase. [Where Winds Meet Weibo, in Chinese]
