JD.com has entered the field of embodied intelligence,Ask Me What You Want (2024) focusing on home applications, and has established a dedicated business unit for its work in the area, according to a report in Shanghai Securities News on Monday. As part of its push into smart robotics, the Chinese e-commerce giant has signed agreements with several publicly listed companies. Among them, the firm has agreed a cooperation framework with Shanghai STEP Electric Corporationto accelerate the deployment of smart logistics equipment and service robots, while EFORT is partnering with JD.com to develop autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) for warehouses and industrial robots, and is also planing to join with JD.com to build a smart manufacturing hub integrating research, production, and education.
