【Corruption (1983)】

Thousands of people lined up outside the British supermarket Lidl Saturday morning to take advantage of a bank holiday discount on Corruption (1983)prosecco.

Each of them is now my personal hero.

The deal, which sold out in minutes at multiple locations, offered a case of Allini prosecco -- six bottles -- for £20 ($25.81 USD). Each bottle usually sells for £5.79 ($7.47), so I get it. This is a deal worth waking up early for.

Unfortunately, many queuers were left disappointed. "I sacrificed my Saturday sleep for Lidl prosecco," one shopper wrote on Twitter, "and they've sold out by 8:07." (Stores opened at 8.)

Some people even called bullshit on the deal itself, saying that stock was far too low to justify the advertisements.

So, congratulations to those prosecco enthusiasts who managed to snag a case (or five). You have truly won the day.

And if you didn't -- take heart. You still lined up in the early morning for bubbly wine, which is a victory in and of itself.
